Ωστόσο έπαιξε ρόλο στη δημιουργία του κυβισμού, συνδέθηκε με τους εκπροσώπους του σουρεαλισμού και χωρίς αμφιβολία υπήρξε μέλος του κομμουνιστικού κόμματος. Καμία ετικέτα όμως δεν ταιριάζει στον μεγαλύτερο ζωγράφο του 20ού αιώνα. Σύνθετη, πολύπλευρη και διαρκώς μεταβαλλόμενη προσωπικότητα, καλλιτέχνης με άπειρα ταλέντα και δεινός εραστής, ο Πάμπλο Πικάσο (1881-1973), τόσο στη ζωή του όσο και στην τέχνη του ακολούθησε πάντα τους δικούς του κανόνες. |
